Clear Tangle is designed for keyboard-first productivity. Learn these shortcuts to capture thoughts, search, and navigate without touching your mouse.

Desktop App Shortcuts

On the desktop app, you can use global shortcuts even when Clear Tangle isn't focused:
Windows: Alt + Space for quick capture
macOS: Option + Space for quick capture

Customize Shortcuts

You can customize keyboard shortcuts in Settings → Keyboard:

  • Remap any shortcut to your preference
  • Set global shortcuts for the desktop app
  • Export/import your shortcut configuration
  • Reset to defaults anytime

Pro Tip

Use Cmd/Ctrl + K to open the command palette—it's the fastest way to do anything in Clear Tangle. Just type what you want to do!
